01
Parkland and further out
Bud Miller All Seasons Park is the first place on the casino's own list for time in town. Further out, the same list names Mount Joy snow resort and Weaver Park Campground.
The Evening Edit carries no hours, prices or events for any of the three, so check with each before you drive. If you plan to come back for dinner, the Sports Bar & Grill serves from 11 AM daily.
Lloydminster has no fixed-route public transit, so settle who drives home before the evening begins. For questions about a taxi, call the casino at 306-825-3777 before you set out.
02
Museum, sundials and two centres
In town, the casino's list names the Lloydminster Museum and Archives and the Sundials of the World. It also names the Servus Sports Centre and the Bioclean Aquatic Centre.
Hours and prices for these four are not part of this guide, so ask each venue. Lloydminster has no fixed-route public transit, so plan the ride between the museum and the casino before you set out. The casino floor stays open until 3 AM Sunday to Thursday and 4 AM on Friday and Saturday.
03
Two courses on the list
Golf takes two places on the casino's list: the Lloydminster Golf & Curling Centre and Rolling Green Fairways Golf Course and RV Park. If you travel the Yellowhead Highway in an RV, note that the casino lot has its own rules. You register at Guest Services with a SIGA Rewards card, and a permit covers 3 days in total. Ask each course about times before you go.
04
One city, one clock
Gold Horse Casino describes Lloydminster as Canada's only border town and serves guests from both Alberta and Saskatchewan. It sits on the Saskatchewan side and applies Saskatchewan's age of 19. One planning detail is useful: Saskatchewan time always matches Alberta's. All hours in this guide are Lloydminster time, so the whole evening runs on a single clock.
Set beside the Yellowhead Highway, the casino sits on land belonging to Little Pine First Nation, inside the City of Lloydminster. SIGA opened it in December 2018 as its seventh casino. The interior takes its cue from the local oil and gas industry, using wood, metal and glass. It is run by SIGA, a self-described First Nations, non-profit organization, together with Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan.
